LINDY 16 Port VGA, USB & PS/2 Combo KVM Switch

A KVM switch gives the user the opportunity to control multiple computers via a single console (keyboard, mouse and display) in quick access. The 16-port KVM Switch Combo provides such a hardware solution for up to 16 computers with VGA port for the monitor and USB or PS/2 port for mouse and keyboard, providing the ideal platform for system administrators who want to control their computers and servers from one central location. The 19 inch switch occupies only a single height unit in a 19 inch rack. It supports screen resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, optimal for overview and detail at the same time, such as when using the switch in media or graphic design environments. It offers 3 easy switching options between the connected computer systems: via keyboard hotkeys, via buttons on the device front or via on-screen display menu. The local console connects via one VGA and two USB ports. A daisy chain connection can be used to cascade up to 8 KVM switches of the "Combo" series, for the secure and password-protected control of up to 128 computer systems in total. The ideal solution for controlling large transport or logistics nodes or monitoring centres. All functions are accessible for the administrator via a simple on-screen menu, at the same time LEDs on the front panel of the device show which of the connected computers online, and which are currently active, thus ensuring permanent control and monitoring. The connected computer systems as well as entire KVM switches can be easily replaced or completely removed from the scenario thanks to support for hot plugging. This makes maintenance or reconfiguration possible without the need for a complete shutdown of the system and all connected computers - very important for high availability applications such as data centers or traffic control systems. The computer systems are connected to the 8 system ports on the back of the combo using special system cable (not included). Older PS/2 systems usually cannot do this.
