The GPS bike computer for 'mountain lovers'. Large 2.4 inch display, user-friendly and 34+ training functions: the R5 GPS is the top model from the VDO R series for all your sporty rides on your road bike, gravel bike or mountain bike! All important basic data such as speed and travel distance are measured either via GPS or via included magnet-free speed sensor for even more accurate measurement. A real highlight is the integrated barometric air pressure sensor for accurate altitude measurement including display of the rise %. This computer is also distinguished by convenient Track navigation and Search & Go navigation with turn-by-turn directions.

A highlighted blue square in the upper right corner of the display allows a new way to display the training data or turn-by-turn directions. More data such as heart rate monitoring or cadence measurement are possible via included ANT+ and BLE sensors for heart rate and cadence. Once you have finished your training, you can upload the data quickly & easily (automatically) to Strava and komoot. Together with the compatible Sigma-VDO Ride App, you can also set your training displays individually or display Smart Notifications. In addition, it can be paired with compatible E-bikes.

The VDO R5 GPS comes with an over clamp butler, which places the GPS computer centrally on the handlebars, just above the stem. This holder fits handlebars with a diameter of 31.8 to 35 mm. Height measurement. The integrated air pressure sensor provides reliable information on the height and rising % and thus allows accurate recording of the journey. In addition, a graphical representation of the altitude profile of the route can be retrieved from the VDO R5 GPS. The starting height at the start of the ride is either automatically calibrated or you can manually calibrate. Basic track navigation and turn-by-turn directions.

The VDO R5 GPS is therefore easy to pair with the Sigma-VDO Ride App. Now you can import routes from Sigma Data Center, our own software to create routes, synchronize or import GPX Route files from external portals. News is the smart feature "Search & Go" in the Ride app, choose a destination via an address or point on the map and the Ride app creates a route proposal based on your preferred routing options (streets, bike paths, paved paths or hiking trails) with associated turn-by-turn directions.

Smart Notifications.These then come into your display while the phone is safely stored in your back pocket of your cycling jersey. Smart Notifications keep you connected to the outside world.
