HOLINESS TO THE LORD: THEOLOGY OF CHRISTIAN HOLINESS

In our post modern Christian quest for numbers and quick practical results, many preachers avoid preaching on the subject of holiness to the Lord. Most church attendees, including their pastors have become accustomed to living a superficial Christianity. Many believe that God is there to simply please them instead of them living to please the Most Holy. The Christian cannot live with an "open mind”, to do so, is to be careless. Would you leave your house open, living in a bad or even good neighborhood? Of course not. We live in a bad world filled with evil, suppression and twisting of the truth, and the promotion of sin. It is not wise to live with a so-called open mind. I believe that a Christian who lives with an open mind cannot please God; for he lets in pollution, dirt and unclean things to his mind. A Christian must have a filtered-mind. We must learn to filter out what enters our mind. The best filter is the Bible. Before accepting, believing and practicing anything, we must check to see if it is in agreement with the Bible. If not, it must be discarded, period. This is indispensable to live in holiness. This book challenges both the professor, the pastor and the laity to live for Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel. It is didactical and practical, examining concepts such as: •God’s holiness and our sinfulness •Holiness and Faith • Holiness and Love • Holiness and Mercy • Holiness and Personal Sanctification • Holiness and Discipline • Holiness and Sacrifice • Holiness and Apostasy • Holiness and Culture
