A certified mass balancing process is used for the ultra-light, siliconised main material of the lightweight backpack. Pyrolysis oil is obtained from old tyres, which is supplied to conventional polyamide production. Chemical recycling saves up to 60% CO2. In addition, this product is climate-neutral: the emissions from materials, manufacturing process and shipping have been holistically determined and systematically reduced. Currently unavoidable emissions have been fully compensated via the independent non-profit organisation "myclimate".
