How do Lamps sanitise the air? Some of the alcohol base of the fragrance passes through the catalytic system and is broken into ultra-fine particles which spread rapidly through the air. These ultra-fine particles diffuse, and when they come into contact with infectious agents such as virus or bacteria, they neutralise them. The heat given off by the wick when in use (around 350°C) also inactivates bacteria and virus that come into contact with it.
