Description

Lightweight, strong, and super smooth, the SPIKE low profile baitcasting reels have been specifically designed by Abu Garcia's team of professional perch and zander anglers to help you catch more of these species. Equipped with 9+1 stainless steel ball bearings, a MagTrax Magnetic brake system and Multidisk Carbon Matrix drag system, this reel is designed to help you cast and fish a wide range of lure styles, from lightweight hard baits through to heavy soft lures. They are a perfect match for Abu's SPIKE X and SPIKE PRO rod series and are available in three different gear ratio versions to help you fish in different styles. The LP-LG Crank L version has a 5:4:1 ratio designed for power and best used with deep diving crankbaits, wobblers, spinners and other lures with high resistance. The LP-L with 6:4:1 gear ratio is an all-rounder and can fish hard or soft baits, specifically good for twitch and jerkbaits, jigging and all-round casting. The LP HG-L has a 7:1:1 gear ratio designed for speed and is best for softbait fishing and vertical jigging.

Key Features

Built on a super-strong and impressively lightweight X-Craftic aluminium frame, this is a low profile baitcaster reel with attitude.

Smooth casting and smooth retrieves are guaranteed every time thanks to the 9+1 stainless steel ball bearings.

Features MagTrax Magnetic brake system and Multidisk Carbon Matrix drag system, which combine to give you precision control and power in the fight when you need it most.

The compact bent handle and star give you a secure grip in all conditions and allow you to control your lure or your drag exactly how you want.

Three different versions available: the LP-L with 6:4:1 gear ratio for all-round use, the LP-HG-L with 7:1:1 gear ratio for high speed use, and the LP-LG Crank-L with 5:4:1 gear ratio for power.
