Halogen-free fiber optic patch cable with steel reinforcement in OM4 quality for high-performance fiber optic cabling in superior ROLINE quality. OM4 fiber is an optimized 50μm fiber with extended bandwidth. It is used to improve system performance for existing applications up to 10Gbps, as well as future 40 and 100 Gbps. This fiber type supports Ethernet, Fibre Channel and OIF applications. The OM4 fibre is suitable for longer ranges of over 550m at 10Gbps or 300m at 40Gbps. With an effective modal bandwidth (EMB, also known as laser bandwidth) of 4700 MHz-km (far more than required by IEEE), the OM4 fiber is also particularly suitable for shorter distances in data centers, as well as for high performance computing applications.
