This black cast iron roaster comes pre-seasoned and is ready to use right out of the box. It works great in both the oven or on the grill. Each cast iron piece is a work of art and should be cared for appropriately. Hand wash with water, dry thoroughly, and maintain the protective coating by rubbing a thin layer of high temperature cooking oil on the piece after drying. The dome lid version's shape and holes direct airflow which improves roasting capability. The flat lid is a traditional dutch oven style.
