Postfazione Come al solito le opzioni di scelta son state dettate anche dalle dimensioni del volume: Amazon ha dei precisi limiti per la stampa a colori, per cui tocca adeguarsi. Questo ha obbligato la stampa in più volumi. Ho calcolato che circa il 29% di simboli son scomparse dall’epoca della segnalazione altrui ad oggi. E così, se dobbiamo dar retta alla fonte del Dott. Luigi L. Secchi, i rifugi furono circa 450, divisi tra Rifugi e Cantine puntellate: Noi siamo risuciti a rilevarne solo 129. Tutta questa vicenda però mi ha trasmesso una sensazione di inutile propaganda. I rifugi, nella stragrande maggioranza dei casi, erano insufficienti o pleonastici, si pensi ad aver trasformate delle cantine in rifugi, previo averle svuotate. Gli edifici civili non erano fatti per resistere alle bombe, penso che ci siano state poche case cui le cantine siano sopravvissute a dei bombardamenti. Per cui erano trasformate in rifugi solo per tranquillizzare la popolazione. Poi le garitte blindate le trovo quasi ridicole. Poste in vicinanza di grandi fabbriche, che spesso avevano migliaia di addetti, avere queste garitte, non più grandi di una cabina d’ascensore, le trovo inutili e pleonastiche. Al di là dell’inutilità, ovvero avere il presidio di un paio di persone dopo un bombardamento, (perché più di un paio di persone non potevano ospitare), poteva forse essere utile per accogliere i mezzi di soccorso, ma niente di più. Come se i mezzi di soccorso non sapessero già cosa fare e dove farlo. Il fatto che non vi siano due ideogrammi di uscite di sicurezza uguali lo trovo veniale. Previo indicazioni scritte, ognuno ha interpretato al meglio o come meglio poteva le indicazioni, ottenendo così tutta una variegata anarchia pittorica. Diverso per le indicazione degli idranti. Son tutte uguali, fatte probabilmente con normografi e forse all’epoca con vernici se non fluorescenti, almeno ben visibili. E son sopravvissute molto più delle altre indicazioni. A parte ciò visto l’avvento del Superbonus[ii] gran parte delle facciate son state restaurate e testi come questo faranno si di conservare nella memoria scritte e ricordi che tendono a scomparire e scivolare nell’oblio.
