Description This gorgeous round-neck summer dress is an ideal addition to your summer wardrobe. The V&A Margie Frill Dress has a timeless floral print combined with beautiful contemporary details to create a daytime look you can wear from the office to a café terrace: frilled cap sleeves, covered buttons to the front, a tie belt and a tiered skirt that falls to midi length. Taken from a fragment of block-printed fabric held in the V&A collection, this all-over print uplifts a delicate floral trail that was originally produced as a furnishing textile by Miles & Edwards, one of Britain’s most influential decorating firms of the early 19th century. Margie pays tribute to a country garden and looks just as fresh as it did 180 years ago.
