NRS Healthcare M66119 Wheeled Commode/Over Toilet Chair with Padded Seat and Back - Height Adjustable This NRS Healthcare M66119 Wheeled Commode/Over Toilet Chair with Padded Seat and Back - Height Adjustable is a comfortable and hygienic alternative to using a standard, plumbed in household toilet, and is designed for use by a person with disabilities, mobility problems or injury that makes the toilet difficult to use or access. The commode consists of a strong steel frame with a seat that forms a lid over the toileting aperture. There is a potty underneath which slides in and out easily for emptying and cleaning. It has a chrome-plated finish with light grey coloured vinyl on the seat, back and armrests. The seat and back are padded as well to provide comfort and are welded to prevent bacteria build up. The comfortable seat is 420 mm (16.6 Inches) deep. The commode comes in modular pieces that assemble together fairly easily without the need for tools. Clear user instructions are supplied and assembly will take around 10 minutes to complete. The seat height adjusts easily between 46 and 53.5 centimetres (18-21 inches) by simply pulling out the e-clips on each leg, sliding the legs up or down to the preferred height, then refitting the e-clips. When assembled, the width between the armrests measures 450 centimetres (17.75 inches). The commode takes up approximately 51.5 x 57 centimetres (20¼ x 22½ inches) of floor space, so is fairly compact. It can be easily dismantled if you need to take it with you when you go on holiday and weighs around 14.4 kilograms (32 pounds). It has four castor wheels that make it easy to manoeuvre from room to room if necessary, for example if the person using it requires more privacy. The wheels all feature a brake that just requires a simple push down with the hand or foot to secure the commode in place. The pram style handle allows a carer to push the commode easily around with or without the person sitting on it. It can also be used over the toilet if preferred to using with the included potty. The commode seat is manufactured from blow moulded ABS plastic for improved longevity, simple maintenance and easy cleaning with mild detergent solutions. The armrests and footrests are detachable and the footrests also swing-away when required. This makes transferring onto and off the commode easy, for example for a wheelchair user.
