FIVE-PLY HARDWOOD SHELLS: The Hardwood Build of these drums provides a tonal brightness and short sustain, as well as a punchy sound that promotes precise rhythms and clear playing. The brilliant sound of this drum set is also enhanced by the thickness of the five-ply shell, which gives it a unique character.

DOUBLE-PLY TOM HEADS: Each drum in this kit comes with double-bearing heads that not only increase stability but also improve sound. This double bearing design reduces vibration and, like the hardwood shell, provides a shorter sustain to give a great sounding kit.

45-DEGREE BEARING EDGE: The 45-degree bearing edge provides a minimal amount of contact between head and shell, allowing for a healthy combination of attack and sustain. The Ludwig shell offers a slight bevel on the outer edge, increasing the contact surface and providing more warmth than a typical 45-degree bearing edge would.
