New for '87, the GTA was the ultimate Firebird. Pontiac's stylists dressed it in a sleek, cleanly detailed body that features a smooth front panel, wraparound rear spoiler, and aero aprons around the bottom edge of the car. Other features include monochromatic exterior color and subtle GTA badge on front fenders. Under the hood was a 5.7 litre V-8 engine with tuned fuel injection. It was good for 210 horsepower along with 320 pounds of torque. Other performance hardware include Pontiac's legendary WS6 handling package and 16-inch diamond spoke alloy wheels. Revell's designers created this classic 1:16 scale set of the Firebird GTA from '87 when the car was new, but this is the first time it has been available in decades.
