The single adapter solution is designed to connect the Pro Tools | Carbon interface to the Mac. The Avid Pro Tools | Carbon Audio Interface is considered a creative game changer in music production; its innovative use of eight onboard HDX processors and a custom FPGA allow you to use AAX-DSP plug-in tracking and monitoring with almost zero latency. Because Carbon connects to your Mac via a proprietary version of AVB (Audio Video Bridging, also known as IEEE 802.1) via Ethernet, you will need to use an AVB-enabled Thunderbolt Gigabit Ethernet adapter if your computer does not have an integrated Ethernet. The Avid-qualified Sonnet Thunderbolt AVB Adapter is the single adapter solution for connecting your Mac to Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 ports to the carbon interface.
