Due to the different connection requirements of MDPE and copper pipes for a watertight seal, this adaptor is essential. To ensure a leak-free seal on the copper pipe, it is recommended to use a small amount of PTFE plumbers tape on the thread where it joins the adaptor and around the olive washer. Made from tough and durable polyethylene, this adaptor can be reused if needed. It is available in elbow, straight, or tee fitting options.
