The CTEK battery charge indicator will help you extend the life of your car battery as you know at any time when to recharge. The LED lights inform you about the charging status of the battery: green flashing means more than 90% charged, no charging required. Orange flashing means more than 80% charge, charging is recommended to prevent damaging acid coating. Red flashing light means the battery has less than 80% charge and sulphation could occur, which can damage the battery and the car will soon be no longer started. You can conveniently connect your CTEK charger directly to the battery charging indicator device and charge the battery without having to open the engine compartment. The indicator is powered directly from the vehicle's 12 volt socket (also known as a cigarette lighter). Please note that the device only works if the 12 volt socket of your vehicle is powered - depending on the vehicle model, this is also the case with the ignition key removed (see operating instructions of your vehicle).
