The non-sterile, hydrophilic qpore syringe filters made of polyvinylidene fluoride PVDF bind far less protein than syringe filters made of nylon, PTFE or mixed cellulose esters. They have a very high flow rate compared to other membrane materials. Due to the low protein and low drug binding properties, the PVDF membrane filters are ideal for filtration in the life sciences sector.
