Hypafix wide area fixation is a soft and stretchable non-woven polyester fixation dressing, widely used in place of surgical tapes. It is highly conformable and flexible for body contours, such as knees and elbows. Hypafix is indicated for the fixation of primary dressings on small to large post-op surgical wounds or wound sites, and can be used to secure medical devices, such as tubes, catheters, measuring devices and instruments. Hypafix has reliable adhesion, adapts well to and stays secure during swelling, and stays secure for up to 7 days. It is breathable and permeable to water vapour and air, which reduces the risk of potential skin maceration. Hypafix is comfortable to wear and can easily be cut to size to meet individual needs.
