Die Recherchen zu Systematik und Taxonomie wurden akribisch durchgeführt und wurden zum großen Teil nach dem WORLD REGISTER OF MARINE SPECIES ausgerichtet. Darüber hinaus werden auch Präparation und Konservierung von Krebstieren näher erläutert. Dieses Buch soll Orientierung und Hilfe für all jene sein, die sich gerne mehr mit diesen hochinteressanten Tieren beschäftigen möchten. Aber auch die Frage der Nachhaltigkeit der Meerwasseraquaristik wurde in diesem Buch angesprochen.
