This cast-iron pot with lid is the ultimate outdoor cooking utensil. It allows you to enjoy cooking in a whole new way. It is perfect for anyone who wants more than just an ordinary barbecue. The legs of the pot guarantee a secure stand and provide stability even on uneven surfaces. The Dutch Oven offers a wide range of possibilities. From tender meat and tasty vegetable pans to crispy breads and delicious cakes – everything is possible! The pot can be heated with charcoal, briquettes, or wood. The robust cast-iron construction ensures even heat distribution so that your meals are cooked evenly. The effective heat conduction also leads to the lid absorbing the heat. Therefore, it can no longer be touched with the hands. For this reason, a practical lid lifter is included in the scope of delivery. The pot features a specially designed lid with a small rim. Thanks to this rim, you can stack blaze or hot coals on the lid. Before storing the Dutch Oven, grease it, place a sheet of kitchen paper inside, and do not close the lid completely. Seasoning: When seasoning the Dutch Oven, start by cleaning the pot and the lid with hot water, then rub a thin coat of flavourless vegetable oil on the pot. Now place the pot upside down in the oven at 180 °C for one hour. Then rub the remaining oil evenly into the pot. Repeat this step regularly so that a patina forms to protect the pan from rusting. Cleaning: Only use hot water to clean the pot. Use a brush to scrub off food residues. Do not use soap or cleaning agents! Grease the pot after each cleaning. Do not keep food residues or ashes in the Dutch Oven, as these can cause corrosion when they get in contact with moisture.
