These allow you to reduce the exposure value by 2-5 or 6-9 EV for shooting under a cloudy to clear sky or a bright to very sunny sky. Mist filters soften the light, making it possible to create in-focus photos with soft gradation. The effect is most visible in images with stronger spotlights.
