This book contains two major physical phenomena for forensic seismology vis-a-vis the ROKS Cheonan Sinking and DPRK nuke tests. In particular the author attempted to demonstrate how to apply the technologies and applications for active source seismology and seismo-acoustics rather than the theoretical approach for the resolution for Defense Sciences. Since October 9, 2006, North Korea conducted six underground nuclear tests including one thermonuclear test (mb=6.3) reported on September 3, 2017. There are many discussions and papers regarding parameters of North Korean nuclear tests, but they have some uncertainties about source depth and yield. There was also a problematized issue to identify the causes for the ROKS Cheonan Sinking in the Korean Peninsula on March 26, 2010 . There are some non-scientific rumors such as a collision with a submarine and a running aground including the attack by DPRK torpedo about the causes of the ROKS Cheonan Sinking. Using forensic seismology the North Korean nuclear tests are intensively analyzed to determine source parameters and to find the cause of the ROKS Cheonan Sinking. The main goal of this study is to provide the correct information for a professional audience as well as lay readers about the parameters of DPRK nuke tests and the unidentified incident of the ROKS Cheonan Sinking using forensic seismology. This book is based on published papers in the international journals as well as some review articles related to observations, basic theories and conclusions for the previous published Forensic Explosion Seismology.
