Description

With the VMA00102, you can pick up the TV's audio (from internal cable or satellite TV receivers, apps) from the HDMI socket. The audio signal is then converted to analog and output via RCA to stereo and 3.5 mm jack. The conversion is only possible in stereo — not from Dolby Digital or any other multi-channel format. Therefore, the audio format “PCM”/“LPCM stereo” must be set on the television. With “bitstream” or multi-channel PCM, the adapter does not deliver any sound. For power supply, the adapter is connected to a free USB socket via the supplied cable. The VMA00102 then always switches on together with the television, so that no operation is required. Volume control is possible via HDMI-CEC (also known as Anynet+, Simplink, VieraLink, EasyLink, BraviaLink). Please note that TVs only have a single HDMI-ARC port. The television usually shuts off the internal speakers when you use HDMI-ARC. The adapter is compatible with TVs with HDMI-eARC. You can use the jack and RCA ports on the VMA00102 at the same time. Connections: 3.5 mm stereo jack, 2x RCA socket (left and right), USBmicro connection, HDMI socket with ARC (audio return channel), dimensions: 65 x 27 x 72 mm, audio output 20-20000Hz, output level 2 V p-p, SNR > 90 dB, crosstalk > 80 dB

You can use both outputs (RCA stereo, 3.5 mm jack) at the same time, and you can adjust the volume as usual via the TV remote control (supports HDMI-CEC)

A USB socket is required for the power supply (e.g. from the television). The internal TV speakers usually switch off in ARC mode.

Sound is only output in stereo, so please change the sound format on the TV to PCM stereo (NOT Dolby Digital or Bypass), audio output level 2 V p-p

When a television is connected to an antenna and is connected to a stereo system that is connected to an antenna or via a 3-pin power plug, a balancing current may flow and hum. A floor separator or filter will help. b) The device works with all TVs that have an HDMI-ARC or eARC port, including LG and Samsung. Settings may be required in the television menu, e.g. audio format PCM stereo, HDMI-ARC On, HDMI-CEC on (also known as Simplink, Anynet+, EasyLink, VieraLink, Bravialink, etc.)
