CASTELLI Squadra Stretch Jacket – Windproof and Waterproof Cycling Jacket, Lightweight and Compact

Description This is a modern take on the shell jacket, the one you can keep in your pocket ready to throw on a long descent or for the first hour of riding until the day warms up. This jacket started out very basic—just a nylon shell—but the lack of stretch meant it had to be cut at the back of the hips to accommodate all body types, both on and off the bike. We’ve completely rethought what a shell jacket should look like and how it should be constructed. We’ve added panels to the hips, and the sleeves are made from a very stretchy yet tightly woven fabric that allows us to give the jacket a modern, form-fitting look that retains more heat than a flapping jacket. We’ve made it super compact so it can be packed away in a jersey pocket taking up minimal space. The stretch panels are treated to be water-repellent, which will help in a light shower, but it’s not intended to be a true rain jacket.
