Mains Tester Screwdriver is fitted with a neon indicator in the clear plastic handle which illuminates when the point of the tester is touched on a live voltage source of between 120-250 volts and an earthing contact is made with the metal stud on the top of the handle.

Main tester is fully insulated and is supplied complete with full operating instructions and will perform the following tests: continuity, bulbs, fuses, short circuits, cable tracking, mains sockets and microwave oven leakage.

Main tester will test electricity up to 250 volts. Hold the Main tester by the insulated handle, do not touch any part of the exposed metal blade. Always test the Main tester before you start by contact with a known live power source. You do not need to touch the touch pad at the top of the Main tester (although it is perfectly safe to do so).

The red LED will glow brightly when the Main tester metal blade is in contact with a live circuit, indicating that it is functioning correctly.

Hold the index finger against the cap end of the electric pen, thumb and middle finger, and gently pinch the electric pen with your ring finger to keep it stable, and then insert the metal nib into the socket panel hole on the wall or the external power strip socket hole.
