I set out to write this text with the explicit intention of offering those approaching Clinical Chemistry support where they can find the essential elements of this discipline. I believe that a written text is necessary to study and that printed paper will still be a useful tool in the transmission of knowledge. Internet is a potent research tool. Beware though! On the web, there is everything and more: the true, the false, the certain, the uncertain, and the verisimilar. The book is aimed at all those who are beginning to practice clinical chemistry, as well as to all students, such as medical students, biology, and especially students in the medical laboratory technician course. The book is also dedicated to the personnel who sell, prepare instruments for clinical chemistry and all industries that produce materials for the medical laboratory.
