Since the 1950s, the REMO® Ambassador® series has been one of the most popular drum head lines in the world. The medium-strength, single-layer Mylar® foils produce an open, warm and resonant tone that varies throughout the series from brilliant and bright to focused and mid-emphasized to dark and soft, depending on the model. As the world's leading manufacturer of drum heads, REMO® was instrumental in standardising drum sizes across all manufacturers by the end of the 1960s. What seems completely normal these days was a revolution: finally all the skins fit on all drums. But what about the lovers of old vintage drums made before the mid-60s? The new standards no longer fit and who today calls such a treasure his own had to search for a long time to find a suitable new coat. For this purpose, some of the historically proven REMO® series have been extended to include the Classic Fit models. The wider step collar of these models allows the coat to adapt to all the challenges that old vintage drums face: oversized diameter, non-round kettles, thick and overlapping foils. The Classic Fit format is available for various models in the Ambassador®, Diplomat® and Powerstroke® P3 series.
