The Arctic Hayes Gas Leak Detector locates the presence of combustible gases such as natural gas, methane, propane, butane and ammonia in appliances, valves, pipes, and fittings. This handheld gas leak detector is suitable for both domestic and business environments, very easy to use and effective for finding potentially dangerous gas leaks.
EASY TO USE: Switch on the gas detector in a clean air environment and wait for the beep signalling the detector is ready to use. Take the detector to the area where you want to check for gas leaks. If as soon as the internal sensor detects gas concentrations over 50ppm, the unit will indicate by illuminating the LEDs on the front of the detector and raise an audible alarm. The greater the presence of gas, the more LEDs will illuminate, and the alarm will sound more frequently.
FIND GAS LEAKS IN YOUR HOME & OTHER ENVIRONMENTS: This Handheld Gas Leaks Detector is excellent for pinpointing known gas leaks, checking for leaks, and testing safety of potentially hazardous environments. This instrument can be used to check gas lines and pipes in domestic and various business environments.
FEATURES: This Gas Leak Detector has an internal sensor and a 100mm flexible probe, which facilitates gas detection. It detects gas concentrations in the air between 50ppm & 1000ppm. When gas is discovered visual and audible alarms are set off. An important feature is the sensitivity setting that can be set to high or low. The Gas leak Detector offers a quick sensing response, and it has auto power off function to preserve battery life.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Sensor: Gas-sensitive bulk semi-conductor. Reaction Sensitivity: 50ppm (methane). Warm-Up Time: Approx. 30 seconds. Reaction Time: 2 seconds. Operating Conditions: 0°C to 50°C (32°F - 122°F) 20 to 80% RH. Storage Conditions: -10°C to 60°C (14°F - 140°F) 20 to 80% RH. Battery Life: Approx. 3 hours. Power Supply: 2 x 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries (included).
