Description In everyday activities, such as walking or climbing stairs, an unstable ankle needs to be protected to prevent sprains. The MalleoLoc L brace stabilises the outside of the ankle and adapts to tight shoes thanks to its slim design. Its anatomically shaped L-shaped shell and support straps are positioned on the foot and lower leg so that the natural movement from heel to toe is not restricted. Features MalleoLoc L ensures lateral stabilisation of the upper and lower ankle joint in the shoe. The brace is particularly flat and can therefore be worn in normal shoes. Its L-shaped shell is placed laterally on the calf, passes through the outer bone of the ankle and encompasses the astragal. The brace is attached to the calf and foot by means of two non-elastic Velcro straps. The lateral stabilising structure counteracts the advance of astragus, protects against trauma in supination, relieves lateral capsular ligament apparatus and serves as an aid in conservative and post-operative therapy. Optionally, a foot cushion can be attached to the arch of the metatarsal using Velcro to stimulate the extensor muscles of the foot while walking.
