The double rimmed design creates a well around the outer edge of the plate to catch dropped food and minimise spills,while also ensuring the edge of the plate is easy to identify - a common issue for those with dementia. The bright yellow colourway also helps to ensure food stands out against the plate,allowing dementia sufferers to spot it more easily. Made from tough,thick porcelain the Heritage is also durable enough to endure the bumps and scrapes common to care home catering,while being heavy enough to stay in place when food is scooped up.
