It gives an insight into conventual life and spirituality. It is also a document of Irish religiou and social history.Hidden away in the heart of greater Dublin, behind high stone walls and enclosure doors are a group of contemplative Nuns. They are the Sisters of the Most Holy Redeemer, the Redemptoristines. They, together with Redemptorist confreres and lay associates form one Redemptorist family.While the Redemptorist Fathers and associates follow the pattern of Christ’s public life in preaching and absolving, the Redemptoristine Nuns are called by the Father to be, in the church and the world of today, a living memorial of the Redeemer. ‘God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost but may have eternal life’.
