The Toothpick Test for 2.1mm vs 2.5mm Most round toothpicks are manufactured to be between 2.1 and 2.2 mm in diameter. If you slide this into the end of a 2.1 mm ID plug it will be snug and would not fall out when tipped up. When placed in a 2.5 mm ID plug the toothpick is loose and will fall out when tipped. Please note that most IP cameras have an external diameter DC power socket of 3.5mm so can not be used with this extension lead. Many Different Sizes There are many types of DC plugs.
