When cleaning Haglöfs shoes, it is important to use a soft sponge under a stream of running water. Dry shoes with a towel or dry cloth at a natural temperature. For maximum comfort and maintain the temperature of your feet, occasionally clean the inside of shoes with a soft brush and lukewarm water. Remove the sole before washing the shoes. To speed up drying, fill each of the shoes or boots with newspaper paper and allow most of the moisture to be absorbed before taking it out and allow the garment to air dry. No matter if you clean the inside or outside, make sure the shoes dry at room temperature and never use a water heater or drying cabinet (excessive heat could cause leather cracking). The best way to store your clean shoes is at room temperature with a fork. Never store your dirty shoes. Before the first use, the boots and shoes should be given a waterproofing treatment, including the laces and the entire tongue. Clean surfaces of boots and shoes should be treated with a waterproofing agent for synthetic materials. There are many different waterproofing agents and waxes on the market for different types of shoes and applications. Ask your distributor for tips and instructions for the shoe or shoe you have bought. Tip: Wear socks made of pure wool or wool/synthetic fabric for optimal foot temperature. Socks of this type of material help maintain a good temperature in the shoes as they allow moisture to pass through much better than cotton. Moisture can help to create friction, cold feet and, in extreme cases, even athletic foot.
