Description

Spax - safety, quality and reliability since 1967. Drywall screw Spax Gix-A fine thread for standard metal profiles. For every conceivable material combination in drywall construction, Spax has the matching screws in the product range, which bear the name GIX. The flat cross slot trumpet head of the drywall screws allows flush countersinking, which provides a smooth surface when filling. Their striking black colour is a result of phosphatation, a corrosion protection that at the same time ensures that the screws do not form rust stains after filling. In addition, the GIX has a CE certification and comply with the DIN EN 14566 "Mechanical fasteners for plasterboard systems". Use SPAX GIX-A: drywall screws for screwing in metal profiles (CW, UW, CD, UD) up to 0.7 mm sheet thickness without pre-drilling. Also suitable for acoustic construction. Box contents: 1 Spax box, pack of 500 drywall screws, Phillips H2, trumpet head, fully threaded, fine thread, needle tip, corrosion protection phosphated, thread diameter (Ød1) = 3.9 mm x total length (Ls) = 45 mm, full thread length (LgV) = 39 mm, head diameter (Ødk): 8.3 mm, bit not included. We also offer magazinated drywall screws for machine use with magazine screwdrivers.

Key Features

Use: drywall screws for quick and easy attachment of plasterboard to metal constructions (CW, UW, CD, UD). Suitable for metal profiles up to 0.7 mm sheet thickness without pre-drilling.

The trumpet head ensures a secure hold and allows a flush finish without damaging the cardboard layer of the plasterboard. The needle tip of the fine thread screws allows precise attachment of the screws as well as a quick bite and penetration of the metal profiles.

The black phosphating provides temporary corrosion protection and ensures good adhesion of filler. The chemical reaction with plaster and the possible appearance of rust stains is prevented. The H force attack provides optimal power transmission and secure grip during processing.

The SPAX GIX-A plasterboard screws are and comply with the requirements of DIN EN 14566 "Mechanical fasteners for plasterboard systems".
