Description

The Choucas range of models also includes Blue Ice's traditional harness - designed in 2012, it has been constantly evolving over the years to bring to market this model appreciated by mountain guides. Much lighter (142 g for size S) and more compact than other classic mountaineering harnesses, this new version offers great comfort with its wide hip belt. An ultimate alpine harness for competitions, ski touring and glacier crossings. With four large gear loops, two ice screw attachments on the hip belt and two more on the leg loops, it has a perfect range of functions. It can be put on without having to take off skis or crampons and is equipped with a speed buckle on the hip belt to adjust the fit.

Key Features

The Choucas harness changed the standard for alpine style harnesses. Made of UHMW Polyethylene, it weights a paultry 142g (S) and can be put on with skis or crampons already in place.

The ice screw keepers on the leg loops hold two screws in place and accessible. The Choucas harness is the ultimate piece for classic routes, expeditions, and glacier travel.

Glove-friendly safety speed buckle. Variable-width waistbelt. 4 true gear loops. Full-strength belay loop. 2 Ice screw keepers.

Openable leg loops. The UHMW Polyethylene lines spreads the load through the waistbelt and leg loops for added comfort. 4 Gear Loops + 2 Ice Screws. Rear elastic adjustable opening.
