The mesh used in the mesh safety cover has a shade rating of 90%. shade rating is the percentage of sunlight prevented from entering the pool. The material used in this safety cover weighs 4. 5 oz. Per yd2 the mesh material is secured with high strength straps, stitched for the highest performance, & includes a high-grade Rub strip to prevent wear & tear. This cover has the highest abrasion resistance & tear strength in its class. The Pool Mate mesh safety cover allows water to pass through easily for the best drainage. Stainless steel springs & brass hardware for concrete decks are included. This cover includes two' of overlap. Overlap is the material that measures beyond the pool size. Not all safety covers use the same strap configuration, if you have existing anchors you may have to re-drill to use this safety cover. This safety cover is ASTM rated.
