. Sony introduces the VGC-4EM Vertical Grip for ALPHA 7R IV. . The VG-C4EM provides operational controls nearly the same as those of the camera body. The location, size, and shape of buttons are optimised and the camera-grip attachment features the same sealing material used on the α7R IV body, to keep out dust and moisture. . The ingenious design of the grip lets you hold the camera firmly for comfortable shooting of photos whether you hold it horizontally or vertically. . The VG-C4EM can hold one or two NP-FZ100 batteries. When using two batteries, the camera will operate for nearly twice as long as when using one battery. When one battery expires, the camera automatically switches to the other, allowing continuous operation. Batteries in the vertical grip can be recharged via the camera’s USB port, without detaching the grip from the camera. If the camera does not work even after the unit is attached to the camera, the battery pack(s) are inserted into the unit and the camera POWER switch is set to ON. Check that the unit attachment screw is securely tightened: Check that the battery pack(s) are charged. Remove the battery pack from the battery pack tray, then reattach. Set the camera POWER switch to OFF, remove the battery pack(s), and reattach the unit to the camera. If Shutter button or other operating buttons do not work. Check that the grip control LOCK switch is not set to Lock. Remove the battery pack from the battery pack tray, then reattach. Set the camera Power switch to Off, remove the battery pack, and reattach the unit to the camera.
