Description

COMPLOT IPA originates from Prades, a region close to Barcelona with a climate and a type of soil that are very similar to the large hop production regions around the world. In 2014, Damm started to work with the farmers from Prades, a region with a climate and soil type that closely resemble those of the major hop-producing regions worldwide. After years of observation and different phases of growing the myriad varieties of hops, it was found that the bitter Nugget variety best adapted to the land. The first beer we have crafted with Mediterranean hops is COMPLOT. Our MEDITERRANEAN IPA. COMPLOT IPA is a complex product crafted with 8 different varieties of hops which are added at different stages in the process to bring more bitterness or more flavour: Nugget from Prades (gives beer a bitterness and high quality), Summit (provides bitterness and a slight spicy and herbal touch), Wilamette (to achieve light floral, fruity and herbal flavours), Citra (it stands out for its citrus flavors and aromas with hints of tropical fruit), Centennial (it provides floral and citrus flavors), Simcoe (to give citrus flavors, pinkish and slightly earthy), Amarillo (its fruity nuances reminiscent of melon, peach or apricot), and Mosiac (to achieve earthy, floral and fruity flavors and aromas). An intense beer hints of tropical and citrus fruits. A beer that pairs perfectly with tasty meals like the last generation of gourmet hamburgers, grilled meat, and blue cheese.
