Product Description Polytar mediacted shampoo contains Coal tar solution 4% (w/w), a natural, thick oil known for anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-itch properties. It cleanses and soothes the scalp while slowing excessive skin cell growth to reduce itching and irritation. Polytar shampoo benefits: Anti-inflammatory: Reduces redness, swelling, and irritation from scalp conditions; Antiseptic: Cleanses the scalp and helps prevent infection; Keratolytic: Breaks down excess keratin to reduce thickened, scaly skin; Antipruritic: Soothes the scalp to relieve persistent itching; Exfoliating: Promotes natural shedding of dead skin cells to reduce build up and dryness. Polytar is recommended to help treat scalp conditions like Dandruff (Seborrhoeic Dermatitis) , scalp Psoriasis, scalp Eczema, Scalp Build Up and Flaking and Itching. How to use We recommend you apply the itchy scalp shampoo once or twice a week to alleviate scalp condition symptoms. If symptoms persist, consult your GP. Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water. Apply the coal tar shampoo. Use enough shampoo to create a rich lather. Gently massage the scalp and surrounding areas with your fingertips. Directions 1. Wet your hair. 2. Use enough shampoo so that the lather is abundant to cover your scalp, hair and adjacent areas, if also affected. 3. Massage the scalp and adjacent areas well using your fingertips. 4. Rinse your scalp and hair thoroughly. 5. Repeat steps 2 to 4. Polytar Scalp Shampoo should be in contact with your scalp for a total time of three to five minutes over the two applications. If you use more than recommended you may be more likely to get skin irritation or skin sensitivity to sunlight. If you forget to use Polytar Scalp Shampoo just apply the next day instead. Safety Warning Polytar Scalp Shampoo may cause irritancy if in contact with sensitive areas, such as broken or inflamed skin. Stop using if irritation develops. Avoid contact with the eyes. If it gets in your eyes, rinse with clean water. Avoid exposure to strong sunlight or sun beds. If exposure cannot be avoided, wear protective clothing and sunscreen. Can stain skin or clothes and can rarely cause a temporary change in hair colour. Do not smoke or go near naked flames - risk of severe burns. Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard.
