The PRO 500 DXS is the ultimate tripod for photographers that love working close to the ground. It is tough, compact and supports up to 15 lbs of equipment without flexing or twisting. Its height ranges from 3.25 inches up to just 16.25 inches when the legs are fully extended (measured at the baseplate). With a folded height of 10.75 inches and weighing only 1.75 lbs, the tripod is ready for travel. The shorter legs allow the tripod to be used in places that longer legs will disturb the area around it or make the tripod unstable. The adjustable 3-position leg angles allow for stable set-up on tables, rocks, stairs, or any surface with confidence. Set up is fast, easy, and secure with Slik's speed-release leg locks. “What’s so great about AMT alloy?” AMT has a 40% greater strength to weight ratio than standard aluminum. The legs are lighter weight yet stronger than the standard metal used in most of today’s tripods. This lightweight comes with a price comparable to other standard aluminum tripods.
