Product Description Voltarol Max Strength Joint & Muscle Pain Relief Gel 2.32% provides up to 12 hours of powerful, targeted pain relief for stiff muscles, joints, sprains, strains, and running injuries. This scientifically proven formula works deep in the muscle tissue to help relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and restore movement. Unlike non-medicated gels, Voltarol contains a unique 2% diclofenac formulation which penetrates deeply into the joint, offering maximum strength relief directly at the source of pain. Whether you're dealing with back, knee, or neck pain, Voltarol is clinically proven to deliver effective anti-inflammatory action and faster recovery (vs non-medicated gels). How Voltarol, a Pain Killer Gel, Works: Unlike tablets which travel through the stomach, Voltarol Joint & Back Pain Relief 2.32% Gel penetrates deeply into the skin towards the joint. Voltarol 2.32% Gel contains a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug – diclofenac diethylammonium – which is retained in the joint tissue, to provide targeted all-day relief at the source of pain (apply once morning and evening). How to Use Voltarol: Gently rub or massage a small amount of gel into the skin around the painful or swollen area, an amount ranging in size from 1 or 2 pence piece; the amount of gel needed will vary depending upon the size of the painful or swollen area. Apply 2 times daily (preferably morning and evening) unless your doctor tells you otherwise (maximum daily dosage 8 g). Consult your doctor if pain and swelling do not improve or worsen after 7 days. Do not use the gel for longer than 7 days unless longer treatment has been recommended by a doctor. The gel is not recommended for use in children under 14 years of age. Directions 1. Read the package leaflet before use. 2. Use an amount the size of a one penny or two penny piece 2 times daily (preferably morning and evening) to the affected area of skin. 3. Massag into the skin over the affected site. 4. Wash hands after use (unless they are the site being treated). Adults and children aged 14 and over: Do not use this medicine for more than 14 days unless longer treatment is recommended by a doctor. If the pain and swelling do not improve within 7 days, or if they get worse, tell your doctor. Do not exceed the stated dose. Do not use more than 56 g of Voltarol Joint & Back Pain Relief 2.32% Gel in one week. If symptoms worsen or pers for longer than 7 days consult your doctor. Safety Warning Do not use if you are allergic to diclofenac or aspirin or other NSAIDs, or have ever had an allergic reaction to these ingredients, or you have ever had asthma, wheezing, hives, swelling of the face or tongue, or runny nose after taking these ingredients. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using, if you have a stomach or duodenal ulcer, are taking diclofenac or other painkillers known as NSAIDs such as aspirin or ibuprofen, or are pregnant or breast-feeding Do not apply to cuts, wounds, sunburned skin or other area where the skin is abnormal, or near the eyes or nose.
