New woofer with aramid fibre reinforced membrane The revised shape of the aramid fibre-reinforced membrane cone has higher stiffness and excellent damping properties far superior to those of polypropylene or paper drivers. The higher strength in turn allows for greater flexibility in design to achieve a more consistent, extended frequency response.
