Description: L293D is a driver, built-in monolithic, high current, 4-channel, high-voltage. Basically, this means using this chip, you can use DC motors and power supplies of up to 25 Volts, thats some very large motors and the chip can provide a maximum current of 600mA per channel, the L293D chip is also what is known as a type of H-Bridge. The H-bridge is typically an electrical circuit that allows a voltage that must be applied across the terminals of a load in both directions to an output, e.g. motor.
