Connect your instrument to the high-impedance 1/4" TS input, and the MDB-1A will pass the high-impedance signal to another destination (like an amp) using the 1/4" TS thru output

The balanced, low-impedance XLR output excels at long cable runs in environments where noise is an issue. Connect this XLR output to a mixer or interface. If there is still any hum, hit the ground lift switch

The built-in low cut and polarity switches give you extra flexibility, letting you remove unwanted low-frequency content and compensate for pedals and effects that invert the polarity of the signal

For stereo sources like media players and keyboards, connect the L and R outputs to the input and thru connectors, then hit the merge switch. The Mackie MDB-1A DI box will sum the signals to mono and pass them to the XLR output
