Due to its otherwise image-neutral characteristics it can remain on the lens for a long time and protects expensive lenses against damage. The Rollei Premium Round UV Filter is supplied in nine different lens diameters: 49, 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77 and 82mm. This high-quality round filter protects the front disc from mechanical stress, scratches, dirt and sand. The Gorilla glass from specialist New York manufacturer, Corning Inc., is well known for high-quality electronics and photographic glass products. Ions are exchanged on the molecular level by an extremely hot bath in a specially mixed liquid and lend the glass extreme resistance.
