The Elinchrom Rotalux Softbox Octa 175 cm is especially popular among fashion and beauty photographers, partly due to its rounded shape. This allows the light to spread as evenly as possible. Combined with the deflectors and diffusers, this creates the softest light. The easy to install Rotalux system is probably the most copied of all softbox systems. However, it is easier to copy a design than quality. What Elinchrom softboxes still make unique are the deflector sets - silver, gold and translucent that can be used to adjust softness/hardness and color. The softbox can be folded up like an umbrella, making it easy to carry and store in the included carry bag.
