The Vincent Van Gogh Chair Cross Stitch Kit (1853 -1890) was a Dutch post-Impressionist master whose groundbreaking works strongly influenced modern Expressionism, Fauvism, and early Abstraction.

Surprisingly prolific, van Gogh produced all of his work over a period of 10 years, and at one point created 150 paintings and drawings in one year. Painting en plein air, Van Gogh uniquely captured the nuances of light and shadow at night, and is also famous for his paintings of sunflowers and irises.

Although Van Gogh sold only one painting in his lifetime, he is now considered one of the most profoundly influential artists of the 19th century.
