The Artist Concept Models are a collection of cymbal voices. They are the product of Meinl Cymbal Artists and the Meinl R&D team. The goal was to craft unique and innovative sounds that allow the artist to explore, create and forge ahead as leaders in acoustic music and in the art of drumming. The Artist Concept Models Matt Garstka signature 18/16 inch fat stack was developed in cooperation with renowned drummer, Matt Garstka, who was looking for a stack that cuts through the mix with a crunchy bite. The sustain is dry and pleasing to the ear. Byzance Series cymbals are hand hammered in the Meinl Factory in Turkey into shape by Meinl cymbal artisans using B20 bronze alloy. Expand your musical expression by adding more cymbals to your drum kit.

Hand hammered in Turkey from B20 Bronze Alloy — Byzance Series cymbals are hand hammered in the Meinl Factory in Turkey into shape by Meinl cymbal artisans using B20 bronze alloy

Matt Garstka signature — the exact effect that Matt wanted for his own playing can be added to every setup with the fat stack – great for versatile drummers

Idea of the Artist — Its trashy quality is maintained through a wide variety of tensions, with my personal favorite being a light tension that gives its Fat Stack namesake
