Description

Torres were the first foreign investors to buy land in Chile back in 1979 - with the purchase of 100ha of vineyard in the Curico Valley.

Key Features

Miguel Torres Chile was founded in 1979 by the Torres family. The family had produced wines in Spain for more than 140 years and already owned vineyards for more than 300 years.

Miguel Torres Chile have been pioneers throughout their time in the country. They were the first winemakers in Chile to use stainless steel fermentation for their wines; and they were the first winery in Chile to use French oak barrels to ferment their wine.

Today, it is the largest Fairtrade winery in Chile.

The name Santa Digna was given to the crosses marking the district boundaries and served to delimit territories and symbolising good fortune and protection.

Cherry colour with fine mulberry aromas. Elegant on the palate with sweet tannins and nuances of leather and spices. Its ageing in French oak lends it a pleasant toasted background.
