ELECTRIC BASS GUITAR STRINGS: La Bella Bass Guitar Strings are designed to produce a deep, vintage tone. The strings are made of stainless steel and are flat wound. They are not suitable for basses with bridges that require strings to pass through the body of the instrument. STRING GAUGES: .045, .065, .085, .105, .128T . This particular set is standard long scale through-body. The 1st (G), 2nd (D), 3rd (A) strings are 38” from ball-end to silk/taper. The 4th (E) and 5th (B) strings are 37 1/4” from ball-end to silk/taper. Only the silk portion of the string should wrap around the tuning post or else the string will break. The silk portion by the ball-ends are 1 3/4". Only the silk portion by the ball-end can bend at a 90 degree angle.
